Wow thanks for the post. That's so great that you went out and tried those tropical fruits. You're unique in that most people would favor the starfruit. You nailed the flavor of the Kiwano perfectly. That's exactly how I think it tastes. It's hard to find a real use for it but it's fun to have around to talk about. Glad the video helped and that it got you to try a new fruit. Enjoy and keep watching!

Okay I went and bought one Kiwano, and one Star Fruit. I cut the Kiwano down the middle and used a large spoon to scoop out everything in almost one stroke... it worked best when starting in the narrow part with the stem. It came out almost completely clean in seconds! To me it tasted like an unripened banana and cucumber, and the texture was like chunky jell-o but good.I didn't really care for the star fruit very much but I'll probably buy more Kiwanos sometime!

Yeah give it a shot. It's interesting enough to try at least once. If you find a creative way to eat it let me know. Also if you do try it let me know what you think of the flavor. Thanks for watching!

Wow, green! Who knew? lol (I never knew) I almost bought one of those today just to try it out, but I was too apprehensive! Next time it might be a different story! Thanks! |
