WOW i was gonna leave a comment but since you dont like Buffy or Spuffy forget it,i wouldnt know what to say cause i love them,theyer the only reason i watched the show.

Wow, we have taken up nearly a whole page of comments..Aha.But yes, I completely agree. And the way he always treated Faith, no matter how evil he was, really did give their relationship a soft touch, even if they were up to no good.And Angel/David Boreanaz was a lot better when he became his own person. He was more independant and myserious. Added a lot more drama and dark comedy. I especially thought he did amazing in Series 3 and 5 of Angel the Series.

The ingenious touch they gave to Wilkins was that he refused to let Faith get seductive with him: "I don't like that kind of thing, Faith...I'm a family man." It made their relationship pure and almost noble. As for Angel, David Boreanaz got 100 times better when he got his own show and shed the "tortured redemption" thing, which bogged down Angel's character in the Buffy series. Angel is at his best when he's goofy or devious, not when he's lovesick and tormented.

Oh definately! I always loved the idea of Angel and Faith actually getting together because they had such chemistry. When I get enough clips, I hope to make a video of it. (:Faith was brilliant because of the way her character developed in different ways, but Buffy never really did. Mayor Wilkins was brilliant for so many reasons, including the himor he brought to the show. And I always loved the almost father/daughter relationship him and Faith had. It actually made me feel sorry for them. XD

Everybody loves Faith! A sexy, charismatic, athletic, cool Boston girl trying to get out of poverty, but falls because of her vulnerabilities. Mayor Wilkins is one of the most underrated villains of the series (and, as a sidenote, Harry Groener is the only actor in the show's history who knew how to pronounce Latin properly!). Faith and Angel's progression in the show Angel was phenomenal. Buffy was definitely the villainess in that storyline.

I have to say I definately agree with what you said. I loved the show, but I do feel that Buffy did become more and more self-indulged as the show got on. Some of the storylines and characters in it were brilliant, Spike being the best in my opinion, but I do agree with what you mean about Buffy. I have to say despite the fact she was a phychotic murderer, I always liked Faith more. (:

I think Sarah Michelle Gellar may have exerted more and more control over the Whedon team, because Buffy became insufferably moralistic and self-important even as early as Season 3 when she moralized the hell out of Faith. The more of her they obsessed about, the less effective she became.

I never really rooted for Buffy as a person but I had to really, it was her show XDD I loved the idea for Fred-Spike, so I will see what clips I can get and try my hardest to make that for you! I'm not sure how long it will take though! |
