This is their first official competition.For those who aren't familiar with Team Sorting, it is a working cow-horse sport featuring fast-paced action in a friendly yet competitive environment. You and your teammate enter and the clock starts as the judge announces which cows you are to remove from the herd, in which order. One rider at a time moves into the herd to select the cow while the other rider guards the gate. If a "dirty" cow (a cow who wasn't on the list, or a cow out of order) gets through, you are disqualified.
