Check out Clara1916 on youtube. Even after Clara passed away, her guardian tried to use Clara's cremains as a bargaining chip in his dealings with his former ward's family.

I can't think of a better way of expressing it than the words you've chosen here!

NASGA is made up of victims of guardianship, past and present, and we are not being emotional, but factual. Guardianship is a black hole that is almost impossible to escape from, fostered by a corrupt legal system. Our stories are very real. Hope you never have to experience what we have been through.

According to the law of NY, appointment of a guardian for a person should only be done as a last resort. Most Judges just appoint a guardian, period. It seems to me that many times, the whole issue is about money.l Once appointed, it is almost impossible to get rid of the guardian, unless you run out of money.

This man may have needed a guardian before, but he seems to me to understand and know what he wants, needs, and and what would be in his best interest now. He is working and he knows what he needs and what is in his best interest so leave him alone.

NASGA hears daily of the abuse that they as family members of the elderly are acused of doing to their loved ones. The error comes by that family member not being charged with abuse, but then APS, courts and attornies ARE THE TRUE ABUSERS, and I for one would love to bring CRIMINAL CHARGES against each and every one of these people.

Errors are being made daily, and the main errors being made are from people like APS, judges, attornies, and guardians who take people over, and say that they are going to PROTECT them, and in fact the world needs to know that what is happening to our elderly is that they are infact being abused by the SAME ONES WHO TAKE AN OATH TO PROTECT THEM. Questionable guardianship? First of all, how Murray became conserved is not as relevant today as how he can improve his life with a replacement. Health needs must be met, dental and hearing, which equals understanding. There are many elderly who have problem hearing and are perceived incompetent becasuethey seem not to understand when all they really suffer are not being able to hear you.In any event, a family or friend seem best toaid Murray in his life choices-as most of us want.

If the man is capable of working, how can it be claimed that he is incapacitated? He's DEAF, judge - not dumb! Give him his hearing aids and terminate the guardianship! If the law says PROTECT, what is the guardian service doing to protect the man - when they are denying him his own money for hearing aids and dentistry? If the law says CONSERVE, how are they conserving his assets, while billing his estate for fees? BAD JUDGES ARE TO BLAME FOR NOT OBEYING THE LAW! GET THEM OFF THE BENCH! |
