The Vz 52 rifle is an obsolete Czechoslovakian military semi-automatic rifle chambered for the 7.62x45mm round.When Czechoslovakia adopted the Soviet 7.62x39mm round the design was updated as the VZ 52/57.This particular rifle was changed from the 7.62x45 to 7.62x39 by setting the barrel back and re chambering it. It retains the original magazine, although the 52/57 mags also fit and function. T

There's one for $250 at my Cabellas, but it's x45 and I can't find the ammo anywhere. I would have bought it if I could.

I have a couple of those. I have the 7.62x45mm originals though. Only thing I can see that is different on mine is that the spent casings shoot to the left not forward. Also a 7.62x39 version now sells for around $300 the originals are around $500-$550.

Had this one for some time and I don't recall exactly how much I paid for it. I've seen the 7.62x39mm Vz-52/57 for sale in the $350-400 price range.
