Further, proteinuria is also indicative of kidney disease.Make sure you thoroughly speak to your physician. You may need to see a specialist.Make sure that you ask for a 24 hour urine test with blood work. A false positive is possible...sometimes your body produces excess amounts of protein during times of strenuous exercise or can be caused by other illnesses.Speak to your doctorAll the best!

Mertis, you should really ask your doctor for more information. There is a huge list of what can cause proteinuria. When protein is released in your kidneys it means that your kidneys are not functioning as they should. Normally the protein should be reabsorbed back into your body, for the most part.Leading causes of proteinuria:1) Diabetes2) High blood pressure3) Drug use3) Genetics. So if it runs in the family.

Thats funny that you mentioned that, I too have suffered from general anxiety, depression etc for over ten years. I have used all sorts of drugs and alchohol and meds to cope with life. Just a couple months ago as I was going through meps which is basically one big army physical they made me pee in a cup and I remember the gentlemen who took the specimen told me that I need to drink more water because theres alot of protein in my urine. Didnt really think much of it, might go get checked out.

I use Diovan and Lisinopril-Both are used to treat high blood pressure(hypertension). High blood pressure adds to the work load of the heart and arteries. If it continues for a long time, the heart and arteries may not function properly. This can damage the blood vessels of the brain, heart, and kidneys.
