On July 24th during FBN's "America's Nightly Scoreboard," gushing peppy preppy host David Asman met his match in California Democrat Maxine Waters, who argued in favor of the housing bill that will be voted on in a rare Saturday Senate session. The FOX Business approach is that the government should simply let giant mortgages houses Fannie Mae [the Federal National Mortgage Association or FNMA] and Freddie Mac [the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation or FHMC] fail or go into receivership. The Congress has decided that these two institutions are too big to be allowed to fail. For days FBN has been telling viewers that only 21% of Americans approve this bill. However, after an hour searching ong Google, I can't find any poll numbers to back up their claims.
