What you speak is partly true... Many of the sighting are the works of back engineered technology given to man by ETs... This still does not negate the fact that ETs do exist! It's rather insane for you or anyone else to think that they don't (relgious folks often do). Within the scope of the galaxy; earth is the equivalent of a tiny spec of sand on a massive desert island! There is NO WAY IN HELL, we be the only living "intelligent" Beings in all of that vastness!

You're right. People shouldn't be surprised. The ancient Egyptians wrote reliefs depicting UFOs. There are references in slave songs like swing low sweet chariot.
