Us brits find him a bit odd to tho british talk show hosts like Jonathan Ross are completely comfortable around him, I thinkin American networks have a far more powerful influence over there hosts and are worried they may get a guest to say something controversial!. Look what happened to Bill Hicks on Letterman! I fail to see why Americans can't understand him tho! They had this problem with Hicks and just like Brand the guy was a genuis!

And then you also have cases like comedian Bill Hicks, who was American but only really popular outside the US, especially in the UK. Brand has said some US comedians, like Hicks and Richard Pryor, really inspired him. It seems like the differences between US comedy and UK comedy have really increased in the past, say, 15 years, with the latter getting better and the former getting worse, more shallow, and more reliant on a "guys-are-like-this-girls-are-like-that" kind of humor.

im srry but i fink its upto the person's personality, mentality and personal likes and dislikes which decide whether they will find something funny or not. some people dnt understand russells jks because he uses a very wide range of vocab and references to history and stuff like that. its not really that much up2 wer ure frm. lots of amercians like english comedy and lots of english ppl like maerican comedy i mean just look at friends and simpsons. u cnt sya that they're not popular in england.
