http://www.commondreams.org/ar... Neo-cons and Americans like them are obsessed with war and violence. They see nothing wrong with us having 700 plus military bases in over 100 different countries. Does that sound like defense to you or offense? They all have this obsession with our country being the bully and pushing around small weak countries to make them feel tough. Some even call to use nuclear weapons which genocidal insanity. Always wanting to show your tough and ready for violence is un-civilized barbarism. Employees at pork slaughtering plants are developing the same type of illness as mad cow disease I will says IPR because the name is not easy to say. The employees getting sick "harvest" pig brains by blowing them out of the heads with compressed-air guns. It's believed that aerosolized pig brains, which are breathed in by the workers, are the cause. Symptoms are remarkably similar to multiple sclerosis and arachnoiditis. The bottom line for the patients is that the outlook cannot be good. I am not claiming myself to be an intellectual by any means, but this article I read tells a great way to save electricity and resource consumption. Get rid of government funded street lights. Especially the street lights in towns. Is being able to see well at night worth consuming natural resources and waste tax dollars? Imagine how many lights across the USA are turned on while most of the population sleeps. That is a great waste of money and natural resources. I am sure there are worries about criminals stalking people in the dark, maybe if were allowed to walk around armed they would be more scared of us. I am sure we can come up with something less wasteful. There are many examples of ways to stop wasting resources and money through government.
