The B52 Matrix 1000V2 is a very good option for small to medium venues on a small budget. Easy transport & set up. Good sound with a lot of bass. And the amplifiers in the subwoofer powers both the subwoofer & the two 2-way speakers. The only draw back is the system can't be upgraded since it's a powered speaker system.Whatever you do don't buy a junk brand like Gemini, Gemsound or MTX. Stick with reputable brands like JBL, EV, Peavey & Yamaha.

They are JBL's bottom line PA speakers, but extremely good speakers for the price. You'll want to get speakers with a 10" or 12" woofer, if you ever plan on getting a subwoofer or pair of subwoofers. Because 15" woofers don't handle mid range frequencies very well & your 15" or 18" subs will be handling the low frequencies.

wheres a good place to get the 115s used?

im really happy with them, the bass is decent, you would need 18's to get a lot of bass. just make sure you get a good price on them if you get them.
