I am impressed with the ability to extend available torque through more of the main shaft's rotation. However with quite lot of surface area on the back side of the rotors, how is wear controlled and adequate seal maintained? I assume that friction and compression seal would be controlled with oil pressure as in conventional engine main bearings, so post-combustion heat would be transferred to the engine casing through the film of pressurized oil?
