That bug lady gives you 100 rupees if you 2 of the same bugs but of different genders.Thats what she means by completing a pair.

After doing the minigame I'm speaking of, the Gorons in Hyrule Castle Town (South) will stock Hot Springwater that you can put in a bottle. You will be able to give this Hot Springwater to the Goron south of Castle Town. That will give him energy to break the rocks and create a "shortcut". The minigame involves carrying a barrel of Hot Springwater to the Goron west of Castle Town once the bridge is repaired. Hope that wasn't too confusing.

That's weird, I thought for sure it was that Goron since he asks for some hot springwater. Am I supposed to bring both Gorons some hot springwater?

That's actually NOT the Goron you're thinking of. That's south, not west. Once you repair the bridge and start the minigame, you'll see.
