Second part: the song is clearly not to be taken seriously. It is just a rant due to something that was going on in Fortis' professional life. Personally, I find it funny, maybe because I am not from Rome. But I love Rome, at least as a tourist, and certainly I do not dislike it in spite of the fact that in the past Romans killed at least 80000 people from my region during its conquest and occupation. Thank you for Fortis' songs. They bring back a lot of nice memories of one of life in Italy.

Actually, the whole discussion is very interesting, because Italy has always been a polycentric country, which was unified very late in comparison with other European countries. Therefore there were many cities which were the cultural, political and economical centre of their own regions. They fought each other bitterly and they hated each other the same way. Campanilismo (to care about your own town and to dislike the others) is a typical Italian phenomena with deep historical roots.

just thatit started as a joke for me...then it went far...but nothing of seriousit's just about Fortis (from Milano) that years ago was vwry angry or fed up with a productor (from Roma) so he (Fortis) decided to write this song...(against poeple from Rome)Udo decided to make this video for me (I think, or he just likes the song) and I started complaining...but nothing of serious at the beginning I was laughing a lot.:)and I went on with this joke
