-Nick's POV.Emily: Why did he do it Nick? Why? Me: Uh . . . Emily: What?(I couldn't tell her the real truth, but I didn't know what to say.)Me: Uhh, I just can't tell you.Emily: Why not?Me: Uh . . .Emily: Is it that you don't trust me?Me: No! Of course not! (I pulled her closer to me so she was lying next to me in the little hopsital bed. She felt a little awkward.)Me: Emily, I love you.Emily: Yeah.Me: Oh come on. Don't be like that.(I reached down to kiss her cheek but she edged away.)Me: Please Emily.(She turned her face away from me.)Me: Fine. I'll tell you if you really want to know.(She loosened up a little and I took her hand. She still wouldn't look at me.)Me: Back when I was eight when he started picking on me, Joe wanted to give him a piece of his mind. He went to punch George, but he dodged it and Joe hit his little brother. He's had brain problems ever since. (She finally turned to me with tears in her eyes.)Emily: I'm sorry Nick.
