WONG: An informant from inside China's prison system has leaked news about the plight of renowned human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng--who disappeared over a year ago. The anonymous insider told Sound of Hope that Gao underwent physical and psychological torture for nearly 60 days. The source said the level of torture was "beyond anyone's imagination."Gao was picked up on September 22, 2007 and taken to a secret location.The insider said Gao was stripped naked and attacked with electric batons. He was also deprived of sleep and beaten up.He was allegedly being tortured to make him do three things: Write an article condemning Falun Gong, write articles condemning the founder of Falun Gong, and write articles praising the Chinese Communist Party.Gao, however, refused to do these things. Ahead of the Beijing Olympic Games, the communist regime has secretly removed Gao's family from Beijing. Gao is still being detained.
