All I wanted to say here (before I ran into all the unqualified comments and diagnosis about George's voice) is, George Clinton & Sly Stone together is as great a pairing of genius as any in history.

Damn! I messed up the transliteration of the chant from "Night of the Thumpasaurs People". Must be "the pipe" I'm hitting. I'll get this one right, though; Psychoalphadiscobetabioaquadoloop. Seriously, I'm not promoting drug use, but there is a history of the relationship between drug use and musical genius. At one time, straight, clean Jazz musicians all over the world thought it was necessary to develop heroin addictions to be able to play like Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and other greats.

What do you know? YOU are sad. George's voice has been sounding like that for years. Probably due to him singing "We want the Funk!" and others like "Shit, Gottdamn, Git off your ass and jam" at the top of his voice, all over the world, for nearly 40 years!! YOUR sad ass pro'lly don't have no idea of what The Funk is. Have you ever been to a P-Funk concert and have George look you in the eye from on stage, give you the funk sign and say "Everybody sang it, gagagooga, gagagoo gagagoo ga ga?"
