If you want attention in Las Vegas, you have got to get the car that will get you attention and maybe more. You have got to get a car that is more famous than you. And what better way to get that than by renting a Rolls Royce, the name that defines elegance and luxury. And what better way to get that ultimate Rolls Royce experience than to rent a 1987 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur. The 1987 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur has its claim to fame when it appeared in movies such as "Absolute Power" in 1997, "Eyes Wide Shut" in 1999, "Rush Hour 2" in 2001 and "The Bucket List" in 2008. It continued its celebrity run as it has also appeared in the television series "Miami Vice" from the years 1984 to 1989. It is even famous for being the last car that chauffered Princess Lady Diana in her last trip to the United States. The 1987 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur is a long-wheelbase version and is four inches longer than the Silver Spirit. The Spur is identifiable by its ever-flex roof and extended rear windows. The Silver Spur uses a Girling automatic hydraulic ride height control system along with gas-charged shock absorbers while still retaining the high degree of ride quality and self-leveling suspension that the Silver Shadow offered. The Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, for the interior, had rich leather seats and deep pile carpets that gave its driver and passengers utmost comfort. It also had a veneer-overed fascia retaining a traditional appearance. The Silver Seraph, first unveiled, on March 31, 1998 at the Geneva Motor Show soon replaced the Silver Spur, which ended production in 1997. http://www.voyagerclassics.com... http://www.voyagerclassics.com... |
