true, house music and house dance originated in CHICAGO, especially the jacking and footwork elements. But lofting (the floorwork element) was innovated in NY and the development of house dance post-1991 took place mostly in NY. It is fair to say that both cities contributed to the style we now see today - but, yes, Chicago needs to get more respect for having originated the core elements of the dance during the 80s.

OH my GOD!!! I sooooo... agree, the world has became so obsessed with music video quality choreographing, that we seem to all be losing our individuality in the club when we ALL dance!

Look, House music and dancing originated in CHICAGO NOT NEW YORK U people act like u created the world. I have mad respect for new york but stop trying to act like ya'll started everything... I mean damn we let u guys claim yourselves as the pioneers of hip hop just cause u let yourselves be commercialized and u capitalized on it. Respect us (Chicago) cause we made hella shit pop off too. Aight son! And half of that shit looked like breaking ? you marks got shit twisted over there...TREATED!
