also in certain areas like the mountain towns there are people with a significant amount of indian ancestry. but to say that the majority of puerto ricans are mulattos cant really be said. islands like DR and PR have completely different racial demographics. and remember ancestry is something else most puerto ricans are white by phenotype. they most likely have african and indian ancestry but by phenotype they are white and by their terms if you look white then you are white and thats how it is

luxor2000 in order to say what the majority of the racial makeup in puerto rico is you have to alteast go to puerto rico. whatever claims you make will not be valid unless you go. i have been all around the island and it depends mostly on the areas where you will see different types of racial phenotypes. for example san juan, guaynabo, arecibo, and many of the mountain towns are full of white puerto ricans. places like loiza, carolina, and the coastal areas are full of mostly mulatto ricans.

i kno, we are all the same so these people need to stop seperating us!! race can develope over different environmental reasons, for example: african= black cuz its hot!!!europe= white cuz its coldmongolid= whatever environment american indian= hot and adaptation and more and more and more. but it doesnt matter we are all human and the same animal(ape, monkey). these people are so racist that they want to make up a lie about the human species splitting up into two. what kind of.......?????

and no its not racistits about a certain culture i am not saying anything wrong or mean about blacks or their culture.But it is true that most newyoricans NOT ALL follow an americanized culture.thats what makes newyoricans different from puerto ricans same people but different opinions on cultural behaviour.
