The author is scorchingly aware of the primal forces which truly conduct human behavior. For example, the lines referencing enslavement and worship speak to the hierarchy in which all living things exist, with its implicit struggle for dominance, the engine of evolution. Also consider the Oedipal context of the conclusion with its hint of fleshly appetiteMany have considered such forces, but few in such a personal and honest manner, and fewer yet with such a profound gift of expression*****
