BMX Rider 'Jason' announces BMX Jam + BBQ for Sat May 31st 1pm-5pm. http://torontobmx.ca Michael Heaton and his team of BMX Riders in Toronto will be hosting a 'Grand Re-Opening BMX Jam' for the 2008 summer season in Toronto at the Wallace Emerson Community Centre, 1260 Dufferin St, Toronto (behind the Galleria Plaza at Dupont St / Dufferin St) on Saturday May 31, 2008 from 1pm-5pm.There will be prizes for all skill levels and anyone wishing to participate is welcome. Regardless of skill level, some of the prizes will be handed out based on all participants names being put in a hat and drawn out. This is to encourage new riders to come out and challenge themselves to do their personal best.The Toronto Crime SToppers School Program are seeking out any and all donations of prizes for this event.. 20" bicycle tire tubes are in high demand by the riders.. anyone wishing to donate to this great cause can contact Constable Scott Mills at 416-434-3002.The "BMX BIKE PARK FIRE DAMAGE REBUILDING FUND" has a balance of $1840.03 at the time of this posting. That is considerably below the amount needed to do the rebuilding of the BMX Bike Park after the Easter Weekend 2008 fire. Donations to assist Michael Heaton with the cost of this amazing project to engage youth in positive, challenging recreational activities and skills development - kids working with adults .. and the police to build community .. are asked to donate to the trust fund set up at the TD Canada Trust - Transit #1304, Account #6350692
