The Dark Knight is the highly anticipated sequel to 2005's Batman Begins. Dark Knight is the first live action interpretation of the D.C. Comics story not to feature "Batman" in the title. The film's Director Christopher Dolan explains that this was done to symbolize a reinvention of the story. Although the Dark Knight is unmistakably Batman, the writing is so strong that the title could be made to represent many different things in this film.
