Now the CEO of Tang Group, her position sparks off vehement protests by her uncle Tang Weiye (Zhu Houren) and his daughter-in-law Zheng Wanyu (Ng Hui). When Kexin's grandfather becomes comatose, the latter seized over control of the company. Kexin begins to suffer attacks of uncontrollable hysteria. Set up by her uncle and Wanyu, she is led to believe she has inherited the same genetic make-up of her grandmother that would predispose her to mental breakdowns. Kexin falls into a depression and attempts suicide when her family lands into financial distress.
