how do u connect the engine to the axle to make it go? im currently building one like this, but i dont know how to make it run.

since alwais i beeng wanting to do a go kart and last yar i both my little cosint a pedal cart for 20 bugs and im doing it well but i had to ad parts to it

not yet. were having trouble finding a big drill bit used to bolt the engine on.

well im not turning the engine on its side. the whole point of this project is to build a go kart powered by a vertical engine. and there is no sprocket. only a gearbox attched to the engine by a belt. the gearbox turns the vertical power into horizontal power.

yo bro nice idea man i have the same engine maybe alittle newer but same power im having trouble how are u going to connect the sprocket to the kart axle to get the wheels to spin also is that the position (sideways) ur mower axle will be along side the kart how fast do u think it will go and if u plan on turning the engine on its side not goin to work no oil can get to the pistons tryed it but can u get back to me as soon as u can thanx
