Report of the United States World Cosplay Summit Preliminaries from the point of view of the runners up.Back in December 2007, GingerAnne and I made the arduous early morning trek to New York City to perform in the New York Anime Fest's World Cosplay Summit preliminaries, sponsored by Wizard Entertainment/Anime Insider and Tokyopop.We were lucky enough to have our hilarious friend Jeffrey to keep us company while I drove for 8 hours that morning. It kept us going, especially considering that Ginger and I literally walked a mile in the snow in our costumes when we finally reached the city to get to the convention center. XDOut of the many talented performers who entered, Ginger and I were the Runners-up! Also, for April-May 2008, we were featured in an advertisement for Wizard World in Anime Insider magazine. It is truly was humbling experience!If you are an American cosplayer, make sure to cheer for Soni and Renee as Team America for the World Cosplay Summit of 2008!
